FACT CHECK ON MSG
If you have erroneously believed that monosodium glutamate was a scheme by the world order to reduce the human population
This might just change your mind ….
MSG
Monosodium glutamate is the sodium salt of glutamic acid. A non-essential amino acid1 that is naturally found in cheese, ripe tomatoes, meat, and fish that gives a taste sensation best described as umami. This acid also doubles as a neurotransmitter within the body, so why would an attachment to sodium( an element also found in table salt), suddenly make it a poison in disguise?
MY THOUGHTS: This error is mainly fueled by the notion that all edible artificial foods are harmful.
Any harm MSG could cause already has an organic accomplice- Table Salt
A compound that occurs naturally and we should limit our intake of anyways, especially if you are salt sensitive or predisposed to risk factors of hypertension.
VERDICT: MSG is relatively safe when consumed in reasonable amounts.
Non-essential amino acids are produced by the body naturally.
